energy is basically energy that is created from natural resources like sun, wind, water and earth. This renewable energy is replaceable and therefore using the same does not deplete the reserves that exist. Will using up solar energy reduce the heat of the sun? Or will utilizing wind to churn windmills and produce electricity result in lesser wine? We all know the answer and therefore renewable energy is a green option that we should take. On the other hand there are non renewable energy sources like petroleum and coal that have limited availability and are likely to get depleted faster than they can be created in the environment. It is estimated that about 18% of the global energy came from renewable sources and there are efforts each day to increase this proportion to a higher level. Some of the most common renewable energy sources are wind energy, solar energy and hydro energy. The wind renewable energy : Windmills have been used for centuries to pump water or create power for grinding grain. Today the same is being used in a more technologically savvy manner and the traditional windmills are being replaced by modern turbines. The solar renewable energy : Some ancient tribes used the suns heat to warm various products. Many kids play the game of using a lens to focus the suns light on a paper causing it to burn. The sun is a huge source of renewable energy and technologies today use this energy to do practically almost anything : from heating houses to water to provide electricity too. The hydro renewable energy : Hydro energy is one of the most commonly used renewable energy sources. It is used extensively in all countries to generate electricity by controlling the flow of the water by using dams.
